Portugal: Each hospital treatment bed produces 6-8 kg of waste per day – health council

Portugal’s Health and Environment Council warned on Tuesday that each hospital bed generates six to eight kilos of waste a day and argued that reducing the ecological footprint in health should “become a political priority”.
