The 10th Global Summit on Climate Change, scheduled for December 17–18, 2025, in Paris, France, marks a major milestone in the international effort to address environmental crises. Situated at a pivotal moment just ahead of the New Year—and following the outcomes of the UN’s COP events—this summit unites over 1,000 policymakers, scientists, industry leaders, and NGOs. Organizers aim to promote in-depth dialogue on accelerating decarbonization strategies, scaling climate-resilient infrastructure, and ensuring equitable adaptations across developing and developed nations. As such, the Paris venue has been carefully chosen both for its historical significance and its symbolism as a hub for diplomatic and cultural collaboration.
Over the two days, participants will engage in a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and workshops. Sessions will spotlight advances in clean energy technologies—including green hydrogen, offshore wind, and next-generation photovoltaics—as well as emerging finance mechanisms like climate bonds and carbon markets. Another focal track delves into adaptation strategies, covering topics from climate-smart agriculture to urban planning that can withstand extreme weather conditions. In addition, dedicated roundtables will explore the crucial issue of climate justice, ensuring marginalized and vulnerable populations receive fair support in transitions toward sustainability.
By the summit’s conclusion, organizers aim to forge a Paris Declaration—a multi-stakeholder consensus outlining actionable targets for the next five years. These include commitments to sharply reduce carbon emissions, mobilize new public–private investment streams, and mainstream nature-based solutions. Crucially, a roadmap will be developed to link these goals with the forthcoming COP28 roadmap and the broader objectives of the Paris Agreement. While individual policy outcomes remain contingent on subsequent diplomatic negotiations, the Summit is expected to strengthen global momentum and foster innovative partnerships that can sustain progress well into the 2030s.
